REPUBLIC OF TURKEY MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SETTLEMENT, GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF TECHNICAL RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTATION, REMOTE SENSING AND GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS PROJECT

With the project commenced in 2005, “A Space-Based Digital Information Bank (Database)” was created with the aim of collecting, processing, storing, assessing, analyzing and using Geography-based (physical and human) information to be collected within a system with the help of Ground Observation techniques (Remote Sensing (RS) and GPS-Global Positioning System) and Geographical Information System (GIS) technologies, for the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement, General Directorate of Technical Research and Implementation.
