National Disaster Archive System of Turkey is Established.
IN THE “COOPERATION WITH THE FOREIGN INSTITUTIONS SYMPOSIUM” ORGANIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SETTLEMENT, DISASTER INFORMATION SYSTEM PROJECT SUBMITTED TO THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SETTLEMENT ESTEEMED FARUK NAFIZ ÖZAK BY NETCAD DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER TAYFUN ÖZGÜDER WAS ANALYZED CURİOUSLY BY OUR MINISTER.
The main purpose of National Disaster Geo-Archive system realized within the Marmara Earthquake Emergency Restructure Project (MEER-A3) is to create an Intelligent Spatial Archive System including all significant national disasters. Within this scope
The solutions developed for gathering data are as the following;

To transfer the data obtained from earthquake telemeter network automatically to the system,

To enter damage assessment data to the system and to make description of the main disasters with the developed application software,

To transfer the damage assessment data gathered by hand terminals from far distances by the provided radio system equipment, over radio system by radio frequencies, alternatively over satellite phones to the centre,

To demand automatic satellite photograph from International Charter Space Service for significant disasters,

To transfer the published information and documents within the General Directorate of Disaster Affairs into numerical environment,
Solutions developed for submitting the data;

To develop Turkish National Disaster Archive System Portal and therefore to submit intelligent spatial disaster information carrying disaster qualification to the whole world,

To provide document management within the General Directorate of Disaster Affairs for the information up to present such as archived document, report, certificate, photograph, video etc with Electronic Document Management System,

To promote the institution to the world by developing General Directorate of Disaster Affairs Web Site,
In addition to this with the institutional implementations developed within the scope of the project, all processes are realized in order to provide the required help for disaster-victims by including these requirements into the investment program after realizing the transactions as ownership of a right, area selection, temporary housing, emergency help payments etc for the disaster victims in the areas of disaster where disaster assessments are made.
